Dennis Burgess and Jack Wright return from overseas and are welcomed home while Frank Josey and Barry Strickland arrive after long deployments. Local harvest delays, time changes, and council notices frame a series of community briefs including sales, church events, hospital staff needs, lost item, and upcoming auctions.
Rev. B. O. Whitfield, Rector, leads an evening service with Holy Communion at 7.30 p.m. This schedule note records the church service time and officiant.
The notice announces a church schedule for Sunday September 30 1945 with a 11 am service led by Rev W G Onions and a 12 15 pm church school. An 7 pm youth rally features participating young people and a preparatory service is set for 8 pm on Friday. Everyone is welcome.

A 1945 Cancer Campaign opening was held in Orange Hall with Miss E Smith from Manitoba Cancer Institute presenting the film Choose to Live and Dr E Hudson outlining early cancer signs. He warned that delays in diagnosis can be fatal while stressing free treatment and house to house canvassing in October. Bert Gurr suffered severe burns when a tractor gas tank exploded during welding, burning hands and face and damaging nearby equipment. he recovered after nine days in Hamiota Hospital.
