On Sept 14 Decker man Bill Little 65 died after a collision with a semi on the Trans Canada Highway near Regina. The semi carried horses, many of which were destroyed in the fiery crash. Little was a longtime horse enthusiast and racer. funeral held Sept 18 at Hamiota United Church.
The Birdtail Fine Arts Festival announces sessions in Speech Arts and Classroom Dance in Hamiota for all ages from kindergarten to adult. For grades 7-12 provincial class rules apply, with entries marked SP. Addendums and forms are available at schools, with a deadline of Oct. 4.
Hamiota officials prepare for the October 25 election with RM and Village councils set to reappoint or retire incumbents. Names listed include Reeve Ray Lints and Mayor Don Mennie among others, with several incumbents likely to run unopposed. Nomination papers require signed attestations by electors, with specific minimums per office, and closing date is October 3.

Missing items include an oak dining room suite with eight chairs, a cedar chest, bedroom set, two rocking chairs and dish boxes.
