Lunch supervision fees vary by Winnipeg school divisions
Schools charge for lunch supervision ranging from free at Nordale to 1.75 per child per day at Riverview, with Van Walleghem listing 135 per year for the first child and 67.50 for others. Programs often funded by parent councils, surplus funds buy activities, and volunteers are encouraged to cut costs. Some parents cannot afford fees and remove children from the lunch program. Birdtail River Division has no plans for a paid lunch supervision program, though budget time could change that.
