Manitoba farmers urged to order Manitou wheat Noralta flax early
Al Martin of the Manitoba Agriculture Department advises farmers to prearrange seed orders for Manitou wheat and Noralta flax. Manitou wheat sales are closed to the United States but open to other Canadian provinces, with possible policy reassessment if spring supplies are ample. No government price controls apply, and Noralta flax may be sold outside Canada, raising supply uncertainty. Harmon oats and Conquest barley supplies appear adequate.
