Canada deported about four thousand people last year with evidence reviewed on all cases. The government may seek higher court review or amend legislation to assign the review to a deputy or other official.

Experimental work at Lethbridge Alberta shows that dry land kitchen gardens need planning at least one year ahead. Superintendent W H Fairfield recommends doubling the area, applying well rotted manure, summer fallowing before ploughing, shallow weed control, eight inch plough depth, wide rows for hand cultivator use, and a windbreak on the windward side of the site. Vegetables in dry land gardens mature earlier than in irrigated plots.
