Heritage Arts Centre to Rise in Hamiota Landmark
In 1994 the Mid-West Arts Council bought the former Royal Bank building in Hamiota to transform it into the Heritage Arts Centre. Volunteers and grants fund refurbishment while three local workers gut and insulate parts of the interior. The project relies on ongoing fundraising and donations as it awaits further funding to complete heating electrical and plumbing upgrades and reopen the center. Linda Conner, president, invites support at 764-2676.
