Dorothy Colley of Frenscot Ltd starts Reclaim Manitoba, a bi monthy publication in June featuring an interview with Lloyd McGinnis and articles on Earth Day and Environment Week. The magazine aims to expand across Canada with regional editions and promotes high grade paper recycling to Manitobans.

Recycling drive ships 5070 pounds of recyclables
The Hamiota and District Recycling Group shipped a load weighing over 5 000 pounds on August 20 1990. The haul to Western Scrap in Winnipeg included 2270 Ibs glass ½ cent lb 11 35 2090 Ibs tin 2 cents lb 41 80 710 Ibs plastic 1 cent lb 7 10 total 5070 Ibs 60 25. Barclays Lions Club donated 100 to cover shipping. Depots run 1 3 p m on first and third Saturdays.
