Social Visitors Attend Saskatchewan Horse Races

Cardale and Mrs Bill Greenaway with Mr and Mrs Morley Cullen of Glenboro travelled to Saskatoon for the horse races. Harry Mangham and his Winnipeg family visited over the long weekend with Kathleen Campbell and Clara McTavish. Mrs Joe Telford of Winnipeg visited her mother Mrs Annie English and sister Mrs Marguerite Waddell.

Manitoba Bus Fare Increase Sought by Highway Transport Board

The Highway Transport Board’s Passenger Traffic Section invites representations on a proposal to raise bus fares in Manitoba from 0.0475 to 0.0500 cents per mile with a new minimum of 75 cents. Local interline rates may rise about 15 percent plus a 25 cent collect fee. shipments limited to five pieces. Filing deadline 4 30 p.m. September 16 1977. R E Leech Secretary.
