Women’s Institute Plans Drives For UNA R A In October
The Women’s Institute met in the Orange Hall on Tuesday September 4 at 2 30 p m. Mrs Ruttan led in the W J Creed. A moment of silence was observed for the bereaved families of J Angus J Jordan Ella Smith and A S Mair. Plans were made for the Cancer Week Drive and the Used Clothing Drive for UNA R A in October. Mrs Dale reported on the district convention at Birtle. The Boys Overseas Box Committee thanks J G McConnell for 84 90 from Saturday dances May to August. Bill Sheridan and Gordon Sheardown are on their way home. Phone 18 if a son or daughter is returning from overseas duties.
