Anniversary Service to Honor Princess Visit in Rivers
Due to the visit of the Princess and Duke of Edinburgh there will be no church service on Sunday. An Anniversary Service is planned for Sunday November 4 at 3 pm with Rev. Saunders of Winnipeg as guest speaker. A fowl supper and program follow on Wednesday November 7 at 5 30 pm in the school. Admission is 75 cents for adults and 35 cents for children under 12. Community notices include visits from Mr. Wm Francis, Mr. and Mrs. J Womack of Gallatin Tennessee, and Mr. and Mrs G Thomson with Terry and Elaine Knight. An auction at H Knight’s farm is set for Monday October 29 starting at 10 o'clock, lunch provided by Oakner W A.
