Hamiota Council Sets Finances and Local Projects
Municipal council met with Reeve presiding and approved minutes. They canceled most hospital accounts, approved two miles of road regrading under Good Roads, and authorized the Reeve to attend the tax sale with power to buy lands for taxes. Payments totaling numerous items including J. E. Boivin grading and Memorial Committee funds were approved. A Boy Scouts troop was organized with Mr McIntosh speaking, and a checker tournament noted. Harvest Home services attracted a capacity crowd. Stevens Orchard Lands in British Columbia plans a large irrigable estate sale.
