In Hamiota on October 23 1938 a large dedication service invites all United Church members from coast to coast to attend the nationwide movement. The next Sunday churches from Atlantic to Pacific will hold similar services as part of the campaign. A separate note recalls Rev Cyril W Coleman of Rossburn visiting the area for Sunday School at 12 10 and 7 pm. A recent recital by James Watson Paul at Hamiota United Church featured his baritone voice with encores and piano accompaniment by V G Few. The Army and Navy Veterans plan their annual Xmas Tree on December 23 at the Orange Hall. Church attendance across Canada will surge over ten Sundays starting next week. Eric DeVroome recovers from a fractured leg after a traffic incident north of Decker. he is in Hamiota Hospital and open to visitors.
