Mrs J D Mathison Passes After Long Illness

The death of Margaret Mc Donald, widow of the late Jas D Mathison, occurred Monday October 9 1950 at her home in Hamiota after a long illness. She was 73 years 1 month 18 days. Born in Kincardine Ont she moved with her parents to Shoal Lake in 1896 and married in 1905. Survived by two daughters Mrs Harvey Murray Decker and Maud at home four sons Clark Bruce John and Frank all of Hamiota fifteen grandchildren two brothers Gib Mc Donald Vancouver Malcolm Mc Donald Strathelair three sisters Mrs Kate Crawford Mrs M Black and Mrs O T Gamey Strathelair.

Purdy to Address local C of C Meeting

H A Purdy of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce will speak at the local Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting in the Rest Room on Tuesday Oct 24 at 8 00 pm. He tours Manitoba reporting on Banff Alta meeting and will discuss local problems and answer questions.
