J W Compeland of Dayton Ohio bought a bottle for a boy with a cold and the remedy was used up. The dealer offers the bottle for sale and the note mentions a three dollar tally. The Echo announces sample copies and a subscription offer for 1.00 through January 1 2014 and asks readers to tell friends.
Former President Theodore Roosevelt was shot while leaving his hotel to attend a political rally. He delivered a speech before collapsing and was hospitalized in Chicago with a serious chest wound, and doctors say his condition is not yet dangerous though he will be confined for two weeks.
The deer season for species including deer elk moose and caribou opens on December 1 with inclusive dates through the 14th. Applicants must obtain a deer license before hunting and licenses are available from the Department of Agriculture and Immigration in Winnipeg.
