The Zion Methodist Church led by Rev K E Spence announces morning and evening services with a National Thanksgiving theme. Choir selections and sermons address the origin of Thanksgiving and the value of prayer, followed by a 3 o'clock special Thanksgiving message and choir music.
A community service will take place at 2 pm with an open invitation for all residents to attend. The event welcomes neighbors to come together for reflection and support.
The Community Club met Friday at McConvell's Hall presided by Rev R E Spence to vote on reorganization. Officers were elected including Rev Spence president and J E Hood treasurer. Committees formed with Spence Young Rogers McLean and Pearl McConnell as conveners. Membership fees set, and future ticket sales planned with notices forthcoming.
