Crandall 4-H Potato and Garden Club Meeting Report
The eighth Cranial Potato and Garden Club meeting was held Thursday night September 29 at 8 30 p m. Mickey Steen opened the 4-H session. The group planned attending the Miniota event on October 3 with demonstrations by Donnie Ariss Ron ny Rudd and a musical solo by Don Kitz. Edith Ariss Pat Amy demonstrated for the Garden Club. Eleven members attended. adjourned by Craig White.

The September WI meeting chaired by Mrs Geraid Shier included 12 members and 6 visitors. Thought for the Day by Mrs M Johnson. roll call cited a point about a person. Hospital Aid noted 14 blood donors attended the Hamiota Clinic. Donations and reports from the WI Board meeting were shared. Guest speaker was unable to attend.

Crandall Crusaders Tour Greek Catholic Church Feast
Crandall Crusaders group began their year with a sightseeing tour on Sunday September 25. Fifteen girls along with parents and friends visited the Greek Catholic Church feast of Erickson, enjoyed a scenic Minnedosa valley drive and a pleasant picnic lunch.

Thanksgiving Service Receives Welcome for Rev and Mrs Marsh
After the Hamiota Harvest Thanksgiving Service at Christ Church a social in the church crypt welcomed Rev and Mrs Marsh newly arrived from England. Mr H Lawson spoke for the congregation to extend best wishes on their marriage. Gifts of a wall clock and china were presented by Ann Kreager and Hilda Cormack.

Crandall Cor. Mrs. Coburn born at Hamiota Hospital Wednesday September 28 to Mr. and Mrs. Murray Bray a son. Mr. and Mrs. J. Sigurdson Gladstone spent Tuesday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. J. Morrison Rev. and Mrs. Robert White Newbrook Alberta spent a couple days with his brother and sister in law Mr. and Mrs W Crandel. Mr and Mrs Madill of Souris have been visiting their son in law and daughter Mr and Mrs Wm Davison. Mr John Norrie rented his house to Mr and Mrs Herb Smith and is visiting with his son in law and daughter Mr and Mrs Don Carnegie at Flin Flon prior to leaving for the West Coast for the winter. Mr and Mrs Ed Shier visiting in Winnipeg Friday evening. Surprise party called on Mrs Ed Wiber who is leaving soon to spend winter months in Winnipeg. Birthday greetings to Mr R L Johnstone who was 83 on Tuesday October 4. Guests at Mr and Mrs D C Douglas over the weekend were Mr and Mrs Holstrom of Brandon and Mr and Mrs Ed Taylor and daughter of Franklin. On the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday September 10 Mr and Mrs J W Shetler South Burnaby BC treated to many surprises. For the first time in 24 years all the family were home. A family reunion was held in the Banquet Room of the Eldorado.
