Easy lawn re seeding with top dress and rake
An experiment at Saanichton federal farm shows raking off dead turf before reseeding improves germination. Paraquat kept on dead turf reduced sprouts. raked plots yielded 1077 seedlings per ft2 versus 31 in unraked, suggesting removing dead growth aids reseeding. A fertilizer dressing before seeding is advised.
