School News Highlights From Kenton Winter Activities
Gileon MacKay joined the Grade 4 class in Kenton to break up a little winter lull. A December 14 deadline is noted for Grade 11 supplementary exams. The recent school social drew over 200 attendees with mayor F C Bennett and MPP McConnell speaking. Proceeds from the Art Exhibition reached about 45 dollars for school pictures. Two clothing boxes were sent to the Belgian Relief effort in Winnipeg.

By Law Proposed on Hamiota Tax for Hail Insurance
Notice announces a bylaw for assessing all arable and pasture land in Ham leta Rural Municipality under the Inter Municipal Hail Insurance Act. Voters will cast ballots on December 15 1914 with a levy of four cents per acre and compensation of 85.00 per acre for total loss. The bylaw is available for review at the Secretary Treasurer’s office in Hamiota until voting. Further consideration is set for December 19 1914 at the Connell Chamber in Hamiota.
