A collage of village items lists auctions and sales for pure bred poultry pigs and cattle, a Holstein herd for sale, a walnut of community dances and bazaars at McConnell and Decker halls, and travel notes for residents via Canadian National and Cunard lines. Community meetings, church events, and memorials are noted along with the death of Martha Delbridge.
The McConnell group says forty attended the skating party last Tuesday then gathered at Rev. and Mrs Jones home for an evening of reports from the conference by Miss Fairlie and Miss Garter. Gordon Killoh demonstrated the stunt Airry and a bean supper followed. The Ladies Aid held a successful bazaar Friday night with a pageant recitations and music and $117 was raised. Doris Hogeland is in Hamiota Hospital after appendicitis surgery. Frank Richardson and Max Parker, provincial swine champions, left for Toronto with manager Gordon Killoh. A play Her Step Husband will be staged Friday November 29 by local talent.
The Miniota Hamiota and Blanshard Trustees Association held its annual conference on Saturday November 9. Dr J S Stewart Oak River presided over the afternoon session focusing on continuation work for big boys leaving school and textbook changes. An Educ department committee will study book changes and a bid for a textbook bureau was approved. Officers were elected: President J S Stewart Oak River. Vice President R K Chalmers Miniota. Secretary G W Bartlett Hamiota. An illustrated lecture by Professor Wardle Manitoba on natural history capped the evening mass meeting with music by local performers.

Oakner Senior CGIT party hosted a ghostly Halloween at Phyllis Rankin home with a witch at the door and a lunch. The Hamiota villagers honored Joseph Andrew at the annual meeting as village clerk resigning due to ill health.
