Hamiota woman dies after car hits semi truck
A head on collision on Highway 24 near Oak River left Sheila Wallace of Hamiota dead at the scene, after her car veered into an oncoming westbound semi while trying to avoid a deer. Ice and slippery roads were cited as major factors. The other driver, Jim Scott of Hamiota, was not injured. The RCMP and Traffic Collision Reconstructionist continue the investigation.
