By virtue of a warrant issued by the Mayor of the Village of Hamiota Manitoba a sale for arrears of taxes is set for December 14 1935 at 2 PM in the council chamber. Parcels listed include Lots 17 18 Block 17 Plan 697 Lots 1 2 Block 4 Plan 515 Lots 1 10 Block 1 Plan T and Lots 11 13 Block 1 Plan T with total arrears amounts shown. Dated Hamiota November 9 1935.
Community notices detail rinks flooding to start winter, Foresters At Home event in Orange Hall with 25 cent admission, CPR cent-a-mile trip to Winnipeg, senior hockey club dance November 22 with Oak River Red Coats, L O L drive results, hospital ladies aid meeting, and auctions and sales announced. Also listed are a church auxiliary anniversary, engagements, ratepaying meeting, and social gatherings. Also funeral of infant, lost tire tube, and poultry buyers sought.
Friday council session in Hamiota praised solid finances and street improvements. School trustees and Principal Rut tan reported a well run school. Hospital finances and operations were strong under James Stewart. McNaught chaired the meeting. A lively Remembrance Day scene in Pops and local visits were noted. John Mc Combrey faced no opposition and will be reelected.
