Kenton Trade Fair Adds Cowboy Poet and Ostrich Feature
The Kenton Trade Fair returns this Saturday at the Kenton Community Rink from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Featuring Cowboy Poet Bob Aitken and over 50 displays, the event includes a new supervised children's area and a live ostrich exhibit from Vernon Lamb farm southeast of Kenton. Admission is $2 for adults with free entry for children 12 and under.

Hwy 355 emerges from Correction Line project shift
A three mile stretch formerly under the R M of Hamiota is now part of Manitoba Highways and Transportation and will be designated as Hwy 355. The route, previously connecting from Decker to Hwy 21 to McConnell, will be maintained by the local municipality as the Correction Line reconstruction nears completion before winter.

Arrow River opens new recycling project in Miniota area
About 50 people gathered at Arrow River recycling building on Monday October 31 for the official opening of the R M of Miniota waste management and recycling project. Reeve Larry Walker noted government funding and thanked the Arrow River Women's group for initiating recycling efforts in 1989.
