They planned to assist the men with Poppy Day canvass and attend Remembrance Day at the United Church. Mrs Geo Baldwin was absent wardens and Mrs Wm Delbridge acted in her stead. The Petty Fund prize went to Mrs Watt and the fund's balance allows sending another parcel to Britain this year. Four parcels have been sent in total this year. Recipients expressed thanks for the aid. The meeting closed with the National Anthem and lunch served.
Eunice Fay Francis wed John Garfield McMillan in Oakner with Rev. Graham officiating. Music by Beatrice Riddell, ceremony featured pink and white decor, pale pink satin gown, nix bouquet. After ceremony, forty guests attended a wedding dinner and the couple departed for Brandon.

Several residents traveled to Boissevain, including Mr and Mrs FE A Dixon and Mr and Mrs L Skayman. Rodger Nicholas, son of Mr and Mrs Glen Stewart, born October 29 at Hamiota Hospital, joins the community. Halloween events at the school and High School, with lunches and contests, plus visits from Winnipeg guests. A W M S Sectional Rally was held October 30 with good attendance.
Mr. and Mrs. McMillan will reside at Oakner, described in a notice noting their residence details alongside a reference to a grey pin striped bengaline cord with black accessories.
Cardale residents were guests of Mrs. H Hunter as Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bailey moved their home from Quinton farm to a lot beside Wes Gregory. A Monarch Town Sedan a Ford two door and a Ford light delivery were delivered to Decker's garage. Mrs. Hunt of Birnie visited her nephew A H Gill for the weekend.
Isabella chaired the afternoon worship service and Mrs J C Richardson led worship with Mrs J Killoh from Mc Connell Auxiliary. Mrs E J Brown of Minnedosa spoke as Birtle Presbyterial president, praising attendance. reports came from Mrs J Wiggins Arrow River and others. Miss Donna Hunsaker performed a violin solo. Two discussion groups followed on Mission Bands and Auxiliary Programs. Guest speaker Mrs Brute F Mackenzie of Gladstone, Portage la Prairie Presbyterial president, spoke of her Toronto trip and the Dominion Board meeting in May.
