The Ladies Patriotic Society asks district ladies to collect and fill fruit jars from the I B D E Convalescent Home stored at The Chamber Co store. They thank Grace Rebekah Lodge for 46.15, Mr Hern for 4.00, and invite donations of money or food. Next meeting is Tuesday June 13 at 4 p.m. at the Methodist Church.
The Ellenville Patriotic Society will host a bazaar and home cooking sale plus a junk shop at the home of Mr and Mrs A E McConnell eight miles north of Hamitoa near Ed MecConnell's on Thursday evening June 7. Tables will be set and tea with friends offered. Admission is 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for children over seven. E W McConnell and Jas Reid oversee the junk sale.
Hospital announces visiting days for private wards from 3 10 PM to 8 PM daily and from 3 0 PM on Wednesdays Fridays and Saturdays for semi private wards. No more than two visitors per patient at a time. Visitors may be admitted only during these hours unless approved by the Superintendent. Overnight stays require special permission. A charge may be made for board. Parcels must not be brought into wards without permission. Visitors must register name and address in the Visitor's book.
