H E M and S Announces Promotions to Immediate Effect
Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting Co Ltd today announced staff promotions effective immediately. W A Morrice becomes General Superintendent, H A McKenzie is Superintendent of the Flin Flon Mine, L W Ogryzlo serves as Technical Assistant to the General Manager, and G Howard McIntosh is Clerical Assistant to the General Manager. Morrice, born in Lonmay Scotland, studied in Hamildta and earned a BSc and Education diploma from the University of Manitoba in 1936. He joined the company in 1940 and was promoted to Flin Flon Mine Superintendent in 1951. McIntosh, born in Rapid City Manitoba, began at Churchill River Power Co. Ltd in 1931, joined Flin Flon in 1940, and was promoted to Clerical Assistant to the General Superintendent in 1956.
