Economic Feed Choices For Pigs And Local Weather Notes
Experimental Farm notes show ground grain alone is rarely economical for pigs under 150 pounds. Tankage or meat meal improves growth efficiency. 10 pounds tankage plus 90 pounds oats and barley match 140 pounds of grain alone in young pigs. For pigs to 150 pounds, 100 pounds tankage can replace 500 pounds of grain mix. Weather: 1.1 inches rain last Thursday with high winds that felled cattle sheds at exhibition grounds. Baseball tourney at Kenton had lighter attendance but good play. River won, Lenore second. Free Picture Show at Orange Hall tonight features Massey Harris Implants of Today sponsored by S. R.
