Community of Concern meets in Brandon United Church
The Community of Concern gathered at Central United Church Brandon with Westman United Church members to pursue a reform within the United Church of Canada. Allan Hamilton from Winnipeg spoke on Covenanting Congregations as a nationwide faith renewal effort. Oak River United Church announced Manitoba’s first Covenanting Congregation joining the movement. Concerns were raised about a St. Stephen’s College dean’s remarks and a Toronto group Cakes for the Queen in Heaven. Glen Wetter urged hope for both stayers and leavers in the United Church.
