Local Students Council Adopts Foster Child
The Hamiota Student Council financially adopts Sung Tae Kim, a fifteen year old Korean boy, through Foster Parent's Plan Inc. Canada with a pledge of $15 monthly for at least one year. The plan has aided over 100,000 children since 1937 and operates in multiple countries.

A total of 292 students from 32 high schools attended Brandon College for the second Pre College Clinic and Seminar.
