Dr H M Reid announces a two week office closure beginning the third Monday and continuing through the following days. The practice will visit from Out River Moodsy Tuesday Miniota Crandall and Lenore Branch making patient arrangements during the fourth Monday week.
Village of Hamiets minutes record May 6 1917 meeting with Mayor F C Benvest and councillors Kerr and Jordan. Adoption of the revised assessment roll for 1917 and receipt of the 1916 financial statement. Finance Committee approved payments to various officials and contractors and Burr Hibbert appointed Weed Inspector for 1917. The council adjourned.
The Hamiota council met as a Court of Revision April 25 1917 with all members present Reeve presiding Five appeals were granted with minor ownership changes The meeting adjourned and a second session held to approve 1916 financial report and issue four hundred copies to ratepayers A $125 monthly Manitoba Red Cross grant was approved for three months A wage schedule for 1917 road work was set and finance committee payments reviewed including Belgian Relief Fund and Red Cross grants The council adjourned to June 2 1917.
