The Scott Experimental Farm notes 1922 potato acreage in the three prairie provinces reached 143 300 acres with an average ten year yield of 149 bushels per acre. Experiments at the Dominion Experimental Station show potential to raise average yields by many bushels through improved methods and trials.
Dry farming methods and seven years of trials show early planting in late May raises yields. Sprout preparation before planting adds up to 50 bushels per acre. Using two eye sets increases returns by 24 bushels per acre, while three eye sets add another 24. Variety performance depends on soil, climate, and seed selection. Windbreaks on prairies raise yields 50 to 241 percent in recent years. Easter services announced with music, sermons, and parish events.

The Hamiota Fair is scheduled for July 20 and the Isabella Fair for July 25. The Village Council will meet in the Council Chamber on Monday at 8 p.m. to discuss local matters.
