Rural Development Minister Jack Penner announced that west central Manitoba municipalities will receive a total of $1 million in provincial tax sharing payments as part of $49.4 million distributed this July. The basic per capita payment rises 2.9 percent to $41.85 for 1990, with urban services supplements of $4.50 per capita for smaller centers and $6.50 for larger ones. Payments come from 2.2 percent of personal income tax and 1 percent of corporate income taxes collected in 1989 and will be issued to all organized municipalities and to the Department of Northern Affairs for Indian bands and unorganized territories.
