Kentones Host Second Annual Barbershop Concert
The Kentones presented their second annual Barbershop Concert on a Saturday night with two capacity shows. M C Ross Poole kept the program on schedule as Ken Hunter led the main group through Irish tunes. Local quartets Whatever 4 and Souris Acappella Chorus performed, joined by Prairieland Chorus and Virden SPESQSA, then guest quartet Western Express from Regina delivered 30 minutes of wide repertoire. All performers returned for a thrilling finale and an Afterglow chicken dinner by Chicken Chef Virden, closing a season of rehearsal and celebration as the Kentones look to 1987.
