Canada expands small business tax cuts across provinces
Three provinces Alberta Quebec and British Columbia cut or credit small business taxes to boost growth. Alberta moved to 5 percent from 11 percent earlier, Quebec offers a 10 percent tax credit lowering a 13 percent rate, and BC lowered to 8 percent from 12 and previously to 10 percent. The Canadian Federation of Independent Business has long pressed for these cuts.

Canadians May Attend Royal Garden Parties
Canadians may apply in advance for invites to four royal garden parties and Trooping the Color in Britain this June and July. Invitations come from the Canadian High Commission in London with deadlines of April 30 for garden parties and April 24 for Trooping the Color tickets. Applicants can request up to two tickets for June 13 and four for the dress rehearsal on June 6.
