Vitamin A injections advised for Manitoba cows before calving
Dr. John Agar of Manitoba's Agriculture Department warns many cows and heifers may lack vitamin A due to 1976 pasture conditions. He and Dr. Allan Cox urge pre calving injections of vitamins A D and E, noting carotene losses in dried forage and that injections are the most reliable insurance for healthy calves.
