Guests of Honor contest invites Manitobans to 125th birthday

Manitoba launches a year long Guests of Honor Contest as part of a 125th birthday campaign led by Industry Trade and Tourism Minister James Downey and Culture Heritage and Citizenship Minister Harold Gilleshammer. Each household receives a postcard inviting out of province guests to Manitoba with entry via Manitoban Esso stations. Winners will tour the province with prizes including a 10 day motor home vacation and trips to Churchill Hecla Island Clear Lake and a wilderness resort. The host draw is May 12 with guest draws on June 1 and subsequent prizes including airfare and hotel stays. The campaign aims to boost tourism by at least four percent and shift spending by over 1.5 million annually.
