Ninety three people cast ballots last week, awarding one pound to Monarch Dave Wool for Miss Olive Drake. Come in again next Friday and Saturday to vote in the next competition.

Fire destroys Kerr farm home. losses exceed four thousand

Roy Kerr's commodious frame house and granary burned last Thursday evening. He and his two sons returned from school, the children raised the alarm, Kerr fetched help but the blaze consumed the home before aid arrived. Household effects and goods of his mother and sister were lost. insurance partly covers the over four thousand dollar loss. Mrs Kerr was away. Rev. J Dannett visited relatives in Winnipeg. Miss Elsie Arthur remains seriously ill in Winnipeg hospital.

J P Minhiovick outlined cooperative support, with moving pictures of the No 33 Tiller Combine and No 34 tractor in action. Lavinia Pre Young People's Union met Wednesday March 11 with thirty members. Harold Tremaine and Elis Hunter led scripture and explanation. Laura McLeod spoke on Christian Fellowship and Citizenship and Alcohol. The play The Prairie Rose is set for Friday March 27 with admission 25c for adults and child tickets.
