Speed Up Elimination Of Level Crossings In Canada
Ottawa plans to push forward legislation to raise the rail grade crossing fund from 200000 to 500000. The federal share remains up to 10 percent with a cap of 100000 per project. Wartime backlog and higher costs drive the push as the board of transport commissioners reviews assistance requests.
