Line Elevators Supply Military Camps With Books
The Line Elevators Association converted 357 circulating libraries in prairie provinces to military use. Over 22 000 volumes across fiction history and related subjects were provided free to farmers and rotated by district. Directors agreed to turn the libraries over to the Canadian Legion War Services for armed forces camps. Country elevator agents will forward libraries to centers to supply troops with popular titles.
