The March 7 1923 Hamiota council appoints Geo E Barrett as Poundkeeper Ward 4 replacing Charles Penny and Jas T Pollock as Assessor to prepare the 1924 assessment roll. It backs completing the Good Roads System with Manitoba board support and approves related payments including Health Officer E D Hudson $266 and Municipal News subscription.
Hamiota defeated Blaris 10 to 8 in a fast overtime battle at Isa Bella Monday night. Mitchell led with four goals and Lipsett added three while W Jordan and Houck contributed in a spirited finish as Hamiota surged from a 5 2 deficit to tie 7 7 then won decisively in overtime.
The finance committee report lists salaries and expenses for 1922 including Andrew Pollock Sheardown Sheridan Kirk Stewart Andrew Hutchinson and others. Council adopts the report, issues cheques, grants $100 to the Salvation Army, and adjourns to April 4.
