Over 100 Delegates Register at the C C L 1 Conference
The Canadian Girls in Training held a successful multi day conference at Knox church with registrations surpassing one hundred. Dorothy Lemon Hamida served as president, Annie Henderson as vice president, Stella Menoski as secretary, and M Dafoe of Winnipeg led services and presided over officer elections. A banquet at Zion church hosted 120 attendees with varied toasts, then a hiking excursion and a closing session at Zion church. The event concluded with the closing ceremony and Taps led by Miss Dafoe.

CGIT Oakner Social Funds Support Local Groups
A social evening in Oakner on February 24 raised 20.40 for OC GIT under Mies E Hedley. The CGIT Blue Chasers held a weekly meeting on March 6 in the Oakner basement and sent thanks to the women of Hamitoa for their kindness during CGIT conference weekend.

Decker rink wins citizen's cup at Isa belle bonspiel
D McKay skip along with A H Gill Miss Iva Clack and Mre D McKay captured the citizen's cup in the Isa belle bonspiel. A L Decker's rink placed second in the Grand Challenge. L Cochrane left for Winnipeg for the Ford school. GIT members with Miss Mabel Coupe and Miss Sadie Padfield attended a conference in Hamiota. Old Time Dance Friday proceeds aid Boys' and Girls' Club. Orrwold and Decker P's class held athletic meeting at Isabella rink with Miss Dorothy Alexander and P. Coup in charge. After skating, attendees visited Rev and Mrs Bowman at the manse for games and lunch.

The final contest at McConnell on Friday March 2 featured five contestants Winona Jones Sadie McConnell Nan Creighton Leslie Jones and Marion McConnell Judges Miss P Privet Mrs G Caslins and Mr H Pollock awarded first place to Marion McConnell The program included lantern slides from the Industrial Development Board and CGIT conference attendance noted for several attendees.

Thirty-Second Annual Meet Of Wawanesa Mutual Insurance
The Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company held its 32nd annual meeting at I.C.C.F. Hall in Wawanesa at 2 p.m. on February 2, 1928. President S. H. Henderson opened with remarks on a record year, noting assets of 2,486,247.93 and a surplus of 969,643.64 while premiums and assessments neared 556,000 and losses were low. Directors Fenderson and Vanstone were re elected for three years and J. Carruthers praised the cooperative model in Canada. The meeting adjourned after the remarks.
