Safety drive notes February traffic actions in Hamiota
Hamiota Detachment reports three non-injury accidents in February including a deer incident and two crashes from poor road conditions. Fifteen fence notices issued seven for speeding five for seatbelt infractions two for no driver’s licence and one for misuse of licence plates. Forty four written warnings were issued under Highway Traffic Act with four open Liquor Act charges. February saw three drivers charged for over .08 and one arrest for refusing breathalyzer. Patrols increased in Elphinstone Hamiota and Rossburn Detachments due to rising Brandon Subdivision accidents as Sgt Graham notes.
