Rolling River Board Meets with Manitoba Hydro
Representatives from Manitoba Hydro met the Rolling River School Division board on June 16 to explain demand billing procedures and costs. Five schools will be placed on demand billing under the new formula, with load management measures discussed to curb expenses. The board approved nine summer employees, discussed painting and maintenance projects, and planned renovations at Clear Lake and Clear Creek schools. A funding letter for a Tanner's Crossing School Special Education Centre enclosure was to be sent, and a September opening for an elementary class was approved after municipal enrolment declines. Liability insurance for transport by parents, teachers, and volunteers was approved.
