Local photographer Marlene Smith making her mark in Hamiota

Marlene Smith of Hamiota started photography as a hobby in the late 1980s and has built a professional career over the last decade. She shoots weddings across Westman, portraits of graduates, and commercial layouts, with work published in Country Guide and Farm Life and awards from the Brandon Camera Club and the Provincial Exhibition. Her prints are shown in local galleries and centers, and she keeps improving through workshops and a Calgary session in July while juggling a credit union job and family.
