Miniota Council Opposes Rail Line Closures and Adopts Mutual Aid Plan
The Miniota RM council met June 13 1978 with all members present. They adopted minutes, endorsed the Mutual Aid Operation Plan Annex 1, allocated cemetery grants, authorized attendance at the West Man meeting, declared August 7 a Civic Holiday, approved May 1978 payments, endorsed the Finance Committee's May report, and opposed CP and CN rail line closures citing service gaps costs and grain movement issues. They adjourned to meet on call of the Reeve.
