Mohawk Oil plans Canada's first gasohol alcohol plant in Minnedosa Manitoba to use up to 700000 bushels of grain annually. The project creates a cash market for farmers and may spur alternate crop farming while restoring a closed distillery and creating about 20 initial jobs. The move follows a May tax cut and provincial support for gasohol production.
