Death of Arthur Wildfong in Hamiota at 30

Arthur Wildfong son of Mr and Mrs David Wildfong of Hamiota died at Hamiota Hospital on Tuesday June 10 1980 after a month long illness He was 30 born in Hayville Ontario moved west as an infant and spent most life in Hamiota where he ran a barber shop for nine years He is survived by his parents Funeral held at Zion Church with Rev E Luna officiating Members of Hamiota Lodge LO OF attended Graveside service at Hamiota cemetery Pallbearers named F Buck H McConnell W Lindsay H Jordan W Jordan and L McLean The Hamiota Fair Harding Fair and Hamiota Horticultural Society Flower Show dates are announced and Union Sunday School Picnic will be held at Narrows next Thursday at 1 pm Prize lists available from secretary F H Squibb

Correction and Changes in Hamiota Show Prize List

The Hamiota Show prize list has updates. Childs Overcoat is open to all, not Sun shine Sewing Club members. W Alexander's Special for best Display of farm livestock now awards four of draft horses, dual purpose cows, and hens, instead of five. Raisin pie two crusts must be day old, same as section 315.

Scarboro Garden Co of Scarboro Ontario donates special prizes to the Huamiota Horticultural Show. First prize for best 12 Dahlia blooms is a Jane Crowell Dahlia tuber valued at 900 dollars. Second prize provides 300 dollars in Dahlia tubers and third prize offers 2 dollars in tubers.
