Rural district seeks new veterinarian for Hamiota clinic
The Hamiota Veterinary District board, including Chair Don Bailey and Secretary Treasurer John Patterson, seeks a replacement for Dr. Evenson amid a heavy workload in a one man clinic. Advertisements Inland have drawn no inquiries, and regional vets warn rural clinics struggle to attract staff. Patterson notes two vets are ideal and partnership options may lure talent to the district, while residents are urged to seek service elsewhere for now.
