Joint meeting of Women's Association and Missionary Society
A joint meeting of the Women's Association and Missionary Society of Hamiota United Church will be held at Mrs. T. J. Strachan's home on Thursday June 12 at 2 30 p m. Everyone welcome. Two car loads of Anglican Church ladies attended the Birtle Deanery Women's Auxiliary meeting at Miniota last Thursday. Mrs. W F G Little was reelected Deanery secretary and Mrs. W H Josey Dore as secretary. Mr Hugh Fraser a former resident of Hamiota died in Winnipeg on Saturday May 30. Clark Fraser and Dr Fraser of Crandall and Phillip and Kerr Fraser nephews motor to Winnipeg to attend the funeral on Monday. A Fastball Tournament will be held at Harding on Friday June 27. Prizes for Men's Fastball 350 00 330 00 20 00 and for Ladies' Softball Tournament 30 00 20 00 16 00. There will also be Boys and Girls Races Lunch on Ground. Admission 50c and 25c. Graduation Ceremony at Hamiota Collegiate Highlighted by Deputy Minister
Grade XII Graduation will be held in the United Church on Friday evening June 27 at 8 o clock. Dr. R O MacFarlane Deputy Minister of Education will be the guest speaker. The Graduation Dance follows in McConnells Hall with invitation only admission and lunch provided. Grade XI students decorate the hall and run the lunch.
