Incumbent Reverend T. B Butler leads the church with services on Ist Sunday after Trinity at 10 15 a m Evening Service at Oak River 2 p m and Sunday School and Bible Class at 3 p m A Sunday School also listed for 7 p m plus an afternoon service noted in the record.
Rev S A Martin leads HAMICVITA morning service at 11 o clock. Rev Ed Land conducts at Oakner with 2 pm preaching and 3 pm Sunday School. Scotia hosts 230 pm Sunday School and 330 pm preaching by Rev E Land.
The Zion United Church holds a service of thanksgiving for the first year of the United Church of Canada with Rev S A Martin delivering the sermon. The Moderator's message to the church will be given and Sunday school sessions target attendance above 125 at 12 10. A United service at Zion Church with Rev S A Martin preaching at 7 pm follows the 2 pm Sunday School and 3 pm preaching service on the Chumah United Church schedule.
Rossell George Alexander, 14, the son of Mr. and Mrs. E W Alexander, died after a 22 rifle discharged when a 15 year old friend Willis Doherty raised it. Willis and Mr. Doherty mourn with the family. Funeral held Tuesday at 2 pm from the home to Hamiota cemetery. Community extends sympathy to the family and to the Dohertys.
In loving memory of Harriet Johnson mother and wife who died June 5 1925. The blow is more than tongue can tell. The world is different without her smile. Tears of love cannot wake her from peaceful sleep. Inserted by her husband and family.
