The Strathclair session of the Birdtail River Fine Arts Festival ran May 4–6 with adjudicators Gordon MacPherson James Mendenhall and Derek Murphy from Brandon. Awards included multiple trophies for solo and choral work and scholarships. winners listed include Nola Dixon Hugh Wilson Janice Ratz Brenda Bell Kenton School Randy Robertson Ruth Prisner Perry Bomack Sandra McEwing and others. A final concert May 6 featured the Strathclair Community Band and a display of needlework ceramics and paintings.

A community gathering at Faye and Russ Schweitzer’s home honored Colleen and Ken Lief after their recent marriage.
